    Thanks! Disk use dropped immeidately from 98% to 3%, and my laptop which was unusable for the last 1h+ is now usable again.

    What could go wrong now that I permenantly disabled the Windows Remediation service? what bad things could happen? should I ever enable it again?

      This update includes reliability improvements that affect the update components in Windows 10 Versions.
